heater was working but is now blowing cold air. theromstate was changed 3 weeks ago and heater worked till 10/16/06.

Check the thermostat again, make sure the coolant level in the radiator is filled to the mark and also check the heater core if its clogged-up and if it has a heater control valve check that too.
