1994 Ford Taurus Gas tank

I would like to know how to identify what size of gas tank I have in this Taurus. I looked for a new tank on line , as the old one was rusted out, but they give the same overall demotions for an 18 Gal tank as a 16 Gal tank. I did find a number on the tank but do not know how to look it up.

what engine size you have? what is the trim level? LX, SHO etc..?
