1993 Ford Taurus Will Not start?

1993 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic +/-200 miles

I Have the 1992 Ford Taurus, and I just replaced the starter, and charged the battery. When I go to turn the ignition I get all my lights but then I turn the key and few dash lights go out and nothing happens in the engine? Any help?

Have you tried replacing the starter relay? Also, when this happens, I need you to test something. Have a helper turn the key to the start position while you check for power to the smaller wire on the starter. There should be 12 volts there. Let me know what you find. If you're not getting power, either the relay or the ignition switch may be the problem.
