Engine is running hot. I noticed the top radiator hose very large and very hot. I replaced the theromstat. Still it seems water is not moving. Could it be the waterpump not moving the water? The pump itself is not leaking.

Hi:
If the upper hose is very large, (larger than it should be) replace it or it will blow out while driving. As far as the water pump, with the engine cold, remove the radiator cap, start the car and allow it to warm up. Watch the coolant in the radiator. When the T-stat opens, the water should begin to circulate. If it doesn't, chances are the radiator needs flushed or rodded out.

Let me know what you find.
