I have a 1993 ford taurus 3.8L V6 automatic GL. If you have a "vacuum leak" then how might you check for it?

Hi there,
get a length of small dia hose, say about 1/4"" use as a stethoscope, place one end in your ear and pass the other end around manifold gaskets, vacuum fittings etc you will normally hear a vacuum leak as a hiss. Watch out for hot manifolds and fan belts
