1993 Ford Taurus rear brakes

Brakes problem
1993 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
Had to have my rea brakes done. Strauss stores told me 540.00 They replaced everything, the brake fluid hoses, rotors, drums, is this unusual in such an old car?

Hi there,

This is not the normal thing to do, although all these components do reach the end of there useful life at some stage, but for everything to require replacing all at once is most unusual indeed, i feel that is a case of do the lot Werther it needs it or not, i would love to see all the faulty components before paying a cent.
