1993 Ford Taurus Two Wheel Drive Automatic 100450 miles

to men:
The car may have a starter problem,but the mechanic put in a new battery and fuel pump.The symtoms are churnning several times until it starts.Since that began I also have a gear stuck in park.Are they related;what do they think.

Check battery terminals and ground wire by the starter
as for the gear stuck in Park
when stepped on the brake paddle you should have brake light on in the rear
check fuses and check brake light switch ,check wiring by the switch
