CAR STARTS BUT WONT COME OUT OF PARK

with the car off manual switch gear on top of trasmision . there is a cable top rear take the cable off try to turn what the cable was attached to. if it dont turn bad transmisson if it turns detatch cable from bottom of steering coulum.select gear if it moves its a bad cable.if it dont its in the steering colum
