Ijust bought this car and there is a work order from pep boys saying the radiator was flushed but the water is a rust color

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

It sound like that the radiator may ave been back flushed only. To do a full flush the thermostat will have to be removed and the block & heater core flushed independently until they run clean. The radiator should be removed & flushed and flow tested as well. Fresh coolant should be used & the thermostat replaced to make a good job of it.
