My husband and I just replaced the brakes and rotors on our Ford Taurus 3 weeks ago. Today as I was driving out of the driveway I heard a screeching sound while driving forward, I hit the brakes and then heard grinding.... I checked the Emergency brake to make sure that it wasn't on, and it wasn't. The only thing that I can think that might be the problem is that the brakes froze? I am currently towing it back to the place that "fixed" the brakes, and they are going to see if this may have anything to do with what they "fixed".

Please advise.

they probably didnt torque up the caliper slide rails properly, sometimes if they are rusted they will go to the proper torque due to the rust but still be loose, easy to overlook.
