1996 Ford Station Wagon Automatic

my car has been messing up on me. the spedometer will start jumping until it just quits and when it does the odemeter quits and it feels like the power steering is gone. it will also feel like it is not shifting and the service engine soon light comes on. Could you tell me what i might have to do to fix this problem?

take the vehicle to a good autoparts store (autozone etc.) have them scan the cars computer for fault codes (most do this free) .. repost with the codes for a better diagnosis and repair information !
