Rough idle/vibration in drive.

I have a 1991 Ford Ranger 2.3L with 75,000 original miles. I have recently had the oil, sparkplugs, sparkplug wires, air filter, and fuel filter replaced. When in park or nuetral, the engine purrs like a kitten at a smooth 750 rpm. When in drive or reverse, there is a great amount of vibration when sitting still at a light or stop sign. Enough to shake the side mirrors out of place. Runs smooth again when driving. Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Is this a standerd or automatic tranny? Sounds like the idle is a bit low. Adjust it to 850 in park if it's atomatic...or try an IAC

It is an automatic transmission. I have read in the haynes manual as well as ford ranger forums that there is no way to adjust idle speed by the do it yourselfer. IAC and throttle body are clean. I just dont understand why putting it into gear causes roughnes when it runs great in park.
