2007 Ford Ranger 4x2 134,000 mi. 3.0 l V-6 Interior Light

Just recently purchased 2007 Regular Cab Ranger for my son, interior light works with dash mounted dimmer switch, but does not work when doors are opened. No fuses blown interior or under the hood. Any suggestions on where to start?

It might be the door switch(es). My ranger is prone to the opposite problem- the light doesn't always like to turn off. I didn't want to mess with the door switch so I put an override switch on the light :-p
