2004 Ford Ranger Ignition

2004 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I can't turn my key into the "run" position, only the accessories position. I've made sure the truck is in park and the steering wheel is unlocked. What can be done?

first thigns first, try the spare key. the one you have could finally be too worn to properly work.

also try lubing up the lock cylinder with graphite lock lube and hitting on it and spraying it some more to try and knock the pins free.
