3rd gear only makes grinding noise while engaged. All other gears fine. Fluid levels are correct. Noise is felt in steering wheel and pedal. I am a recent UTI graduate I just don't know much about transmissions, I do understand the language and parts of a transmission.

Hi there,

I would have this investigated by a transmission specialist, asap. The grinding noise can only mean serious mechanical damage is taking place and metal fragments are being deposited around the transmission.
