I just started getting a thud sound that is constant in my front left wheel. It is there in 4wd and 2wd, whether pressing the gas or not. The only time it seems to go away is when I am turning sharply. I had a balance, allignment, and replaced the hub assembly still to no avail. Is this a CV joint problem? I don't want to take it to a mechanic yet, but am about to.

Make sure the tire doesn't have a shifted belt. Also, find an area that you can drive the truck slowly and in circles. When you turn the wheels all the way left or right, a bad CV joint will usually click. Also check the front u-joints to make sure they are not binding.

Let me know what you find.
