In the location my oil filter is located I can not fit a oil filter wrench around it. If you are looking up into the engine the open part of the filter is facing up. If you own a ford ranger and know what I am talking about then you know what I am talking about. How do I take the oil filter off?

Thanks

If you have the 4.0L V6, you need a filter cup that attaches to a ratchet. The 3.0L shouldn't be a problem.

I don't own one, but have worked on a lot of them. Let me know if this helps.
