My door ajar light won't go off and I have to disconnect the battery to stop the beeping. I was told to check the sensors inside of the doorjam to see which is faulty. Whats my next step in repairng this problem.

the sensors are located in the door lock mechanism ..spray some lubrication into the locking latch area .. you may need to remove the door trim panel and check the wiring to the lock assembly ... the switch and light configuration is controlled by the GEM general electric module .. so if there is a fault in the actual system it should be giving a fault code ? .. have the cars computer read for fault codes as well
