I have a 2002 Forrd Ranger with 103,000 miles on it. I was driving it the other day and the clutch went out which made it hard to put in gear. I have been told that the slave cylinder has gone bad. Could this be the problem? could it be something else? thanks

Hi there,

Check for clutch fluid loss, if low, check for leak at master cylinder, look inside under dash around clutch pedal push rod. If the M/Cyl is ok the slave may be leaking, unfortunately this is an internal slave and the gear box has to be removed to access it.
