2002 Ford Ranger clutch pedal

2002 Ford Ranger 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

While stopping at a stop sign, I noticed a rather loud pop when I pressed the clutch pedal in. When I released the pedal it would not disengage, it was stuck. When I finally got it unstuck a small plastic bushing and some sort of retainer ring fell out. Now the clutch pedal is just hanging there as if it is not connected to anything.Whats up with that

IT sounds like the plastic retaining clip broke and the pedal came off its mount. Have you checked to see if it is still attached?
