are the front ABS sensors located inside of the hub assembly? Have to replace whole assembly?

from the picture ive got in front of me, its showing the abs sensor bolting to the hub bearing.... if the sensor is bad, it shouldnt require a new hub bearing.... these pictures are unclear when it comes to location of the tone ring.... if you look at your front cv axles, are the tone rings located on the axles??? if not, then they are in the hub bearing assembly...
