2001 Ford Ranger interior light will not turn off

The interior light will not turn off most times. Some times when I press remote lock twice it beeps once and turns off but most times it chirps twice to indicate a door is open, which they are not open.

check for faulty door ajar switch in door latches. try lubricating them with wd40 see if it helps problem any.
