I can put the gear in Drive and drive my car with no problem. However, when I put the gear in Reverse, I do not have reverse,it seems like it stuck on neutral. I was told by a mechanic that my Gear Leakage may be loose. Would this be correct? Where would I check to see if the leakage is lose?

Hi there,

With the way the transmission selects gears, if you have drive , park and neutral, the chances of a linkage issue being the cause of no reverse is slim, i would suggest that you visit a transmission specialist to have this looked at, your mechanic should be able to test this easily, but it sound as if they are not interested in helping you with this problem.
