I was traveling on an intererstate in snow storm. Very wet conditions but in 2 wheel drive. At 50 mph First ABS light flashed on then speedometer went to highest point (I was not loosing traction), tach droped to 0. All in less than a second. Had no acceration as if engine died. But my red engine lights that come on at start up or stall did not come on. Within 10 seconds as I started to pull to the side everything returned to normal and engine was running (I didn't restart it so I'm not sure it was off). Ran for 20 to 25 miles. Same happened again. Drove to home another 25 miles ran fine. Don't know if abs light on first is a clue or a result.

It sounds like there could be a problem with the VSS. Have that checked.

Yes. Picked one up yesterday after reading about problems with them. I tried to remove the orignal today but could not budge bolt. I soaked it with wd 40 try again tomorrow. I ran the truck today to pick up a bookcase about 45miles no problem. I checked all the plugs and wireing looks good? Thanks for taking the time to respond. I;ll write if and when I get to the bottom of this Thanks

Yes, let me know if that takes care of the problem.
I'm interested in knowing.
