what type of factor oil went in the ford ranger? i had a new engine just put in it cause it was making a knocking noise in it. i think i know what kind it is but i want to be sure. thank you. david

usually its 5w25 but i usually run vehicles at 10w30 where i live its a bit cold up here. 10w30 is good for winter running if you live warm areas id stick 5w30.
