Our Clutch seems to have partially gone out. Although the truck will start when the clutch is pressed in, sometimes we cannot engage the gears (no noise, grinding or other signs... just will not engage in any gear). An hour later... there is no problem and everything works normally.
We have been quoted a minimum of $800 to repair the clutch, and as much as $1,400 (+) if they have to drop the Transmission. This seems like a lot... and I thought you had to drop a transmission to check the bell housing regardless?
Please advise.
