Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

im trying to figure out why my ranger wont stay running. it burps and sputters from the time you turn the engine over until it finally kills on its own....i was thinking maybe that it was a blown head, but im not sure. i ruled out a craked block because the oil is not a milky color at all....the oil is actually healthy....low, but almost fresh....any suggestions?

Do you have a check engine light?

Clean out the idle air control valve and test the TPS and MAF sensors
