I have to replce the carrier bearings on my 1999 Ranger it has 264,000 miles. I already have that part done. My problem is the axle bearings. I removed the seal but can not seem to move them. Can I get them out with a slide hammer?

If you want the ones at the drum or brake end of the tube, yes use a slide hammer, they make a tool for removing bearings that screws onto the puller.
