1999 Ford Ranger Driver side door chime

1999 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My driver side door is open the door chime rings even after the key is out and nothing left on. Is the a switch broken or way to disconnect?

the chimes are controlled by the GEM (generic electric module) it may be the switch is faulty replace/repair wiring on switch on rear of door .. you could disconnect the wire to isolate from the system
