Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1999 Ford Ranger Four Wheel Drive Automatic 113,00 miles

I was quoted $540 to replace ONE front wheel bearing on my 99 Ford Ranger. They asked me if the truck was 4WD and if all four were ABS and the answer is yes. Something tells me this was overpriced. He said you can't just replace the bearing, they all come together now so you have to replace the whole thing. I had no idea what he was talking about. Can this be explained to me?

You are being hosed labor is 1.8 hr and bearings are @$20 each need two. No need to replace hub unless damaged. I would get a second estimate.
