My ranger 3.0 has been the most reilable truck I have ever had but fortunitly the miles and years have caught up with it. When I turn the knob to have heat placed on the defrostor little or no heat comes out. The blower seams to blow air fine but the air is not hot but warm. what is the problem?

Try replacing the thermostat and see what happens-don't work-could mean problems behind the dash-air mix/blend/mode doors-actuators/vacuum.
