1998 Ford Ranger po153 code

i was told by my mechanic that this code po153 is a bad 02 sensor,he tested the sensor and found it to be ok. he now believes the computer needs to be rebooted to remedy the problem??

have him do that, and if that doesnt fix it then you should replace the sensor.
