My truck seems to be losing battery power. If I leave my door open for 5 min, it drains battery power. Truck will start but shakes and turns off so I have to keep a high idle and drive for a couple miles to charge battery back up and then it's back to normal idle. I rplaced battery with new one. Never had problem before.

I had a/c service done a while back and wonder if related. Changed the whole hose assembly.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi there,

Have the alternator charge rate checked, as well as all the battery terminals make sure that they are clean & tight, ask your mechanic to do a current draw test and include the alternator as well as a faulty diode will cause a current drain.
