My 98 Ranger blows hot air continuously, even when the controls are set to off heat still comes out. The truck will produce some cold air when started and left in park but seems to immediatly get hot when put into gear. The blend door seems to be working fine. The AC had been getting warmer and the system was charged the day before all this started happening. After the charge the AC did work for a while. Not sure what else to look for?

Could be freezing up due to air and moisture forming ice and blocking off the orifice tube
