ok i have a 97 ranger with the 2.3l with the 5spd 2wd ok when i bought my truck the a/c system needed to be recharged so i recharged it well when im going down the hwy doing 50-55 mph in 5th gear it diverts the air from tha main forward vents to only the main defrost vent that defrosts the windshield now the problem has only worsen for me cause the heat index is 110 with every bit of 85%+ humitity and i have installed a 4" lift kit with 32.7" tall tires and the load i put on my 4cyl is quite a bit but i doesnt help when the a/c doesnt blow towards me now i plan on gearing down the rear end from the stock 3.73 to a 4.10 but in stock trim it still did this now i have a service mannaul but it dosent go any further than how to recharge the system so any help is much appreciated i am well in depth with mechanics i can tear down my engine and rebuild it back to factory specs but this problem boggles my mind

The a/c vent system behind the dash might have a broken spring or vent.
