I started my truck two days ago, but it will not idle. I can drive the truck, but I have to keep my foot on the accelerator to keep it running. I thought it might be the fuel filter, but am not sure how to remove the hose that takes fuel from the filter to the engine. Do I need a special tool? What do you think I can check to make the truck idle?

Theres a special tool used to disconnect the lines. Slip on on the male side, slide towards female. She comes off!

To help your idle woes first hting I would do is remove and clean the IAC module and throttle body out throughly and see if that solves it, if not check for vaccum leaks, faulty egr valve, or bad pcv valve.

If those are all good then chances are the iac module has failed.
