Electrical problem
1996 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 3.0 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
My truck cargo light sockets are not getting voltage when either of the doors are opened. I have a '95 F-150 that the cargo lights come on when the door(s) are opened.
The wiring diagram only shows the high brakelamp which does work when the brake pedal is depressed, but does not show the wiring for the cargo lamp.

Try this cure, buy a can of brakekleen and a can of spray white lithium grease, spray the latch area, thats the claw in the door where it closes, spray liberally with brakleen, open and close the door 5-6 times, repeat, then spray with the white lube, open and close the door 5-6 times. Reapeat on all doors...
