1995 Ford Ranger radio and clock reset when ignition is tur

Within minutes of turning off the ignition, all radio station settings are gone and the clock is set back to 12:00. The battery is still good and we have no problems starting the car. Thanks for your help

check fuses

Radio has two power sources ,one from the ignition switch (on off with the ignition switch )and the other is keep alive memory (always on ,power supplied from the battery )
the 2nd is needed when key off to keep in the memory alive and settings
