1995 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

i have a for ranger with a v6 and my kid over heated in and it is pushing too much pressure in the cooling system and blowing out the radiator cap. a mechanic told me it was probably the head gasket or a cracked head. what is the book time to replace the head gasket.

if no problems are ran into it could be done in 5 hours, some times quicker sometimes longer.
