I have replaced the clutch master cylinder, new hose line to slave cylinder and the disc pressure plate t.o. bearing. The problem is that I cannot get into gear. I can start the truck in gear and it will pull. I do not notice any slipage once I the truck is rolling. My mechanic is at a loss. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
william.

The slave cylinder is not working. Probably air locked. Either get help and manually bleed the air while the helper depresses the clutch pedal and you open the bleeder while the clutch pedal is depressed, then close the bleeder and have the helper let off the pedal. Repeat several times while always checking the fluid level. Or you can get one of those hand bleeder pumps and follow the directions that come with the pump for a one person bleed job.

The other scenario is a defective slave cylinder but a new cylinder will have to be bleed too!
