I have been noticing for the last year or so that my oil pressure is not as good as it once was, even after changing the oil. I am thinking that it may be getting time for a new oil pump. What do you think? Or is there something else I should check?

Hi there,

Check the oil pressure with a master gauge as this will give a true indication of engine oil pressure, if low, the pump is on one item that could be at fault, the pressure regulator may me faulty and worn crank and cam bearings will also cause loss of oil pressure, you can try stepping up a weight in oil as well.
