In trying to connect a wire from a new car stereo to the ignition wire I accidentally disconnected (pulled from terminal connection) the wire from the steering column connector (Connector assy that is located at the base of the turn signal control on the steering column as shown in the attached picture)

. The wire is colored red with yellow stripe. I have the lower shroud that covers the lower half of the steering column removed so that I can see the connector assy -- I just can't see exactly which hole (terminal socket) that the wire is supposed to connect to. I know it is the headlight wire because that is the only electrical problem that I now have and the headlight fuse is not blown. I do not want to have to remove the steering wheel to get better access to the rear of the connector. Please tell me where on the back of the steering column connector the wire is supposed to be connected. Thanks

I don't know if this is going to help. It looks like the schematic of the switch. What I need to see is a picture or diagram of the connector that the wires attach to so that I can see which terminal the wire connects to. Can you get that? In the meantime, I will take the picture you have sent and compare it to what I see on the connector to see if by chance I can figure it out.

Thanks

I found this for the headlamp dimmer switch connector. Courtesy of Napa.
