1993 Ford Ranger Pinging

My truck is a four cylinder with eight plugs. I have change the plugs. When I run regular gas my truck pings really bad. If I run high test gas it runs fine. What is the problem?

You may already know this but it totally seems like your timing is too far advanced. Loosen the Distributor clamp bolt and turn your distrubutor just a very small amount counterclock wise. Then tighten the clamp again. Or get a timing light and set up to the engine specs.
