1993 Ford Ranger idle speeds

idle somewhat erratic after warmup. about 900 to 1000, when shifting to drive or reverse the revs jump up 400 or so and cause a hard shift into gear....No codes are set...intake manifold leak checked with no leaks found. New iac installed and no help. any ideas????

You have a vacuum leak, get a can of spray gumout, spray the vac lines and maniflod area, when the idle changes, youve found the leak!
