Sorry about putting it in tires and wheels category, but there wasn't one for tailgates. Anyways, how do you repair or replace the tailgate latch if it won't come down? There is no access hole. HELP!

no one ever replied to your question, I see...I have a 1998 Mazda B3000 (very similar to the Ford Ranger; same truck, really) and my tailgate is having trouble "latching"; I have to slam it really hard, repeatedly, before it catches, and it is getting worse. Did you ever have that problem? Did you ever get yours resolved? I wish you the best.
