My mechanic says my truck needs a new pressure metering valve so that brake fluid can get to the back brakes. This part is outrageously expensive, almost $300.00.

Add the labor and it is a huge repair bill. Where is this part located and how hard is it to change out? I just want to be informed before I go ahead with a repair. The front brakes are operational, so I can drive it if I am careful.

Is the Ford Company the only place to get this part? Thank you.
