My 1990 ranger keeps stalling out on my driving down the highway, and when it does I cant hardly get it to start. It's getting pretty scary and very dangerous. What could be wrong with it?

Could be anything. First we need to narrow it down. Does it still have spark when it dies? Is there fuel pressure? Does it start right back up? Does it crank over?

I think it has fuel pressure, but it takes a second or two for the engine to crank back up. Im thinking its my fuel pump tho, because i've been getting low gas milege. Any Ideas?
