1990 Ford Ranger Emissions

It passes the high idle test with flying colors, but the low idle test, it fails, low co2 with high hydrocarbons, what can I do to fix this prob asap

What you are describing doesn't make sense to me. Elevated HC usually indicate a rich mixture (at idle). However, that also causes the CO2 to be high. Are you sure CO2 was low?

Common causes are plugged air filter, engine not warming up to proper operating temp due to a bad thermostat or temp sensor. Also, do you have a rough idle? Worn plugs, plug wires, stuck EGR. Can cause it too.

Hey thanks for the info, yeah, the co's were extremely low, the hc's were at 341, limit here of 220 I believe, the things you described, are all things I went over today, and did find a few problems. Plugged air filter, and some other stuff. I sure appreciate it a bunch
