If we start the truck and it starts fine, but as soon as you put it in gear and press on the gas it dies, what is the problem. We have changed the computer system, the spark plugs, the starter, the spark plug wires, the fuel filter, checked the fuel pump. And still doing the same thing, our mechanic is about ready to give up on trying to figure out what is wrong. We really need this truck to last us for another 2 years. We can't afford another payment right now. Any suggestions on what the problem would be, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!

If jack the rear wheels off the ground and it stays running in gear, wil that mean the torque converter that is locked in OD is going bad and would need to be replaced?

It doesn't die immediately, just when you put it I gear and press the gas the RPMs will stay where they need to be then drop, then go back up, then drop again, til it gets to 0, then it dies.

Yes, computer was scanned for codes and the system would be cleared then the codes would come up again, thats why we had to replace it. We did find some wires that looked to be chewed through by maybe a squirrel if you can believe that so we are working on those.
