Engine Performance problem
1988 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

This truck sat for more than six years. I have rebuilt the trans and tune-up however it smokes (light grey/black ) for up to twenty minutes after start up.
I have run the truck for several hours and cleaned the throtle body yet the problem continues

Probable causes of an engine running rich are as follows:

1.Excessive fuel pressure can be cause by restricted fuel return line or defective fuel pressure regulator.
2.Defective Oxygen Sensors.
3.Leaking injectors and fuel pressure regulator.
4.Coolant temperature sensor out of calibration.
